At the age of 13, Joanna Gollberg began making jewelry with fishing lures, beads, and (very heavy!) old coins. She kept the interest in making jewelry and went on to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where she honed her skills. Joanna is also a well-known and respected author. She has written four books on making handcrafted jewelry–Making Metal Jewelry, Creative Metal Crafts, The Art & Craft of Making Jewelry, and The Ultimate Jeweler’s Guide –all titles published by Lark Crafts, an imprint of Sterling Publishing, Inc. Joanna loves to design and to work with her hands, ensuring that she is completely involved in the creation of each piece of colorful jewelry. Joanna’s genuine love for materials and techniques makes her work unique. Joanna lives and works in Asheville, North Carolina.
