Gésine Hackenberg

Gésine Hackenberg explores the conceptual intersections between jewellery and objects of everyday life. Her pieces are based on traditional craft techniques combined with a range of materials such as ceramic tableware, glassware and (precious) metal. These materials usually come from a domestic context and tell their own stories about preciousness and adornment. Trained as a goldsmith in Germany, she now lives and works in the Netherlands.
